Responsibilities :
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Experience. This position reports directly to the Assistant AD for Marketing and Fan Experience. The Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Experience is responsible for providing support for all marketing and promotions areas for the Athletics Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Develops and implements an aggressive marketing, advertising, and promotion plan for all assigned sport programs.
-Have a strong focus on increasing revenue, fan attendance, in-game and pre-game experiences, and ticket sales.
-Increase awareness through print and electronic media, advertising, web content, community partners, and social media platforms.
-Assist in the development and execution of plans geared towards increasing visibility and brand awareness.
-Increase exposure for Louisiana Athletics in the local communities, the campus, state, and regionally by creating, developing, implementing, and executing the fan engagement plan, and all the initiatives included under this umbrella.
-Creating game scripts to match the game day marketing plans and organizing many other special events.
-Executing departmental policies and procedures, establishing goals and objectives, and manages budgets for all areas of supervision – under the purview of Director of Fan Experience and Revenue Generation.
-Work with various levels of personnel within the areas of Ticket Sales, Fan Experience, Digital Media, Athletics Communications, and Development.
-Collaborate with the Multi Media Right partner, ensures marketing commitments are fulfilled by reviewing marketing/advertising agreements for fulfillment.

-Responsible for the execution of fan engagement plans for all and once completed evaluate programs and make changes when necessary.
-Focus on strategies to represent at exhibits and local events.
-Collaborating with traditional as well as electronic communications to season ticket holders, alumni, students, faculty/staff and fans.
-Working with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) on community outreach.
-Collaborate with Chambers of Commerce, Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, and other community organizations.
-Will arrange for coaches and student athletes to interact with the campus and community.
-Will coordinate and supervise the distribution of promotional materials.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
-One (1) year experience working in athletics at a college/university or comparable.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills when working with student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and administration.
-Knowledge and experience with Adobe Photoshop.
-Experience with videoboard software (Daktronics).
-Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; commitment to working with multi-cultural populations.
-Have strong work ethic and be a person of high integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules as they apply to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics program.
-Ability to work extended daily hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
