The mission of the NC State University Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic, and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University. This position will serve as Administrative Support Associate for North Carolina State Men’s Basketball Team which competes as a
NCAA
Division 1 team competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
This Assistant Director of Men’s Basketball Operations/Administration coordinates, manages and assists with a wide variety of program management functions necessary for the successful day-to-day operations of our Men’s Basketball program.
Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
Assist with coordinating official and unofficial visits including ensuring compliance to
NCAA
rules & regulations, and game day administration and complimentary ticket distributions.
Assist the Director of Operations as the administrative manager to Coaches and other Administrative Personnel.
Provide timely reporting and assistance to the Athletic Director, Sport Administrator and other Administrators in Athletics as requested and necessary related to the administration of the Men’s Basketball program.
Assist in coordination of all regular and postseason activities, operations, and travel, including interfacing with the regular travel party, boosters, University Executives,
NCAA
Travel Coordinators, player families and recruits.
Prepare game day sheets and scouting reports.
Manage charitable items request for Men’s Basketball program.
Stay up to date on all
NCAA
,
ACC
and University policies and regulations that pertain to recruiting, admission and NC State Basketball.
Assist in ordering and coordination post workout meals, and snacks.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

| Other Required Qualifications |
- Prior experience working with Division 1 Men’s Basketball program.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel) are required.
- Must have ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Good organizational skills are a necessity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good telephone etiquette, as well as good interpersonal skills are needed in dealing with people.
- Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite and have some database management experience.
