Job Duties
1. Facilities Operations (70%)
a. Primary contact for daily operations for select Athletes Village venues: Land O’ Lakes Center for Excellence (Men’s Basketball Practice Facility, Women’s Basketball Practice Facility) and the new Gymnastics Performance Center (completion Dec. 2024), Lindahl Academic Center, etc.
b. Assist with operations and events at other facilities: Bierman Athletic Center, Larson Football Performance Center, Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium, John W. Mooty Golf Facility, Siebert Field, Jane Sage Cowles Stadium, Track and Field Stadium, Indoor Fieldhouse.
c. Contribute to development of the facility operating budget and monitor monthly expenditures. Specifically, monitor monthly expenditures for Bierman Athletic Center and Gymnastics Performance Facility
d. Develop work plans to prepare the facilities for Gopher practices and any other booked events in assigned facilities.
e. Responsible for building maintenance, coordinating physical plant work orders, event conversions, and monitoring and inspections of campus custodial staff.
f. Work with the Director of Operations to identify capital needs and repair/replacement projects and develop long/short term goals for facility improvements. Coordinate repair and replacement projects including project expenditures for Bierman Athletic Center, Land O’ Lakes Center for Excellence, and Gymnastics Performance Facility.
g. Management of part time student employees- including hiring, training and annual evaluations while following the Universities policies and procedures.
h. Educate and train Athletes Village coaches and on daily life safety plans and emergency procedures for the complex.
i. Scheduling of facilities and communicating those schedules to building occupants as directed.
j. This position will assist with oversight of preventative maintenance and emergency repairs for the facilities listed above while working with Athletic Facilities staff, Facilities Management and outside contractors to keep our facilities updated and successfully maintained.
k. This position will coordinate the rental of equipment needed for building maintenance and repair to include but not limited to high lifts.
l. Oversee and manage all supply ordering and purchasing for the facility while following proper University and departmental procedures and protocols.

Events Operations (20%)
a. Assist in assigning part time staff to provide facility coverage at all events held in the facility
b. Prepare for Gopher Game Days and events at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium, Siebert Field, Jane Sage Cowles Stadium, the Track and Field Stadium, and the annual Griak Cross Country Races at Les Bolstad Golf Course.
Other duties to be assigned. (10%)
a. Assist with card access control for all Athletes Village venues.
b. Coordinate and initiate tasks related to grounds and sports field maintenance with the Athletic Facilities Turf Manager and athletic turf staff.
c. Manage the parking areas around the complex including temporary parking passes
Personnel Responsible For:
Part-time staff of twenty (20) Student Laborers
a. Assist all aspects with the hiring of 20 part-time student employees.
b. Properly train students on all custodial tasks to be completed as well as event conversions.
c. Conducts performance evaluations on all part-time employees to communicate expected levels of performance.
Salary: commensurate with experience. Salary range of $45,000- $48,000. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
-BA/BS in Sports Management or related field OR a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least 4 years
-3 years of experience in a sports facility setting – education can count towards the total years
- Basic knowledge of NCAA and B1G rules and regulations
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays based on facility events
Preferred Qualifications
-3 years of athletic facility experience at a Power 5/FBS College/University/Professional sports
-MA/MS in Sports Management or related field
- Experience with facility software scheduling platforms
- Experience in workforce management/employee scheduling platform
