The Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition provides individual and group/team nutrition services, including counseling and education, to enhance the health and performance of student-athletes competing on behalf of the athletic department as assigned.

Plan and implement nutritional strategies for fueling and recovery for select teams.
Collaborate with the training table staff and assist in management of menu development, preparation, meal deliveries, and team meal schedules.
Coordinate and plan team meals as needed.
Communicate with team physician and director of sports medicine to research, evaluate, recommend, purchase, distribute and monitor permissible and effective nutritional supplements with attention to NCAA and IOC rules, regulations and nutrition related bylaws.
Conduct body composition assessments by utilizing and maintaining appropriate technology (i.e. Bodpod).
Assist in management of fueling station operations, including scheduling, procurement, ordering, receiving, and inventory.
Manage and mentor undergraduate student volunteers, fueling station employees, and interns.
Maintains dietetic registration and continuing education requirements.
Stays abreast of current food, nutrition, and health issues and research related to sports nutrition.
Travel with teams as required.
Other duties as assigned.
