| Advertised Job Summary |
Assistant Director of Stewardship & Communications – Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director of Development, responsible for oversight of major gift donor stewardship and donor communications, and assisting with Gamecock Club stewardship – including but not limited to suite entertainment, individual donor recognition events, donor acknowledgement and donor/team travel. Responsible for oversight of donor relations activities on game days. Oversight of major gift staff meetings and ordering of donor gifts and apparel.

| Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, or business development.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
Experience working in collegiate athletics development / fundraising or event rentals is strongly preferred.
|
| Knowledge/Skills/Abilities |
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Excellent customer service skills and fundraising skills. Ability to prepare correspondence to be distributed to high level donors and prospective donors. Familiarity with ticketing, specifically Archtics and Millenium systems.

Oversee Major Gift staff administrative duties – oversight of bi-weekly staff campaign meeting agenda, manage agenda of bi-annual Athletics Director’s cabinet meeting. Assist with donor communications including Garnet Society (lists, mailings, pins, stewardship) and major gift solicitations. Manage/oversee scheduling of meeting spaces, scheduling for Asst. and Associate AD’s/Development.

Oversight of donor acknowledgement process for non-Gamecock Club gifts, including execution of acknowledgement letters and collaborating with campus entities to produce and process gift naming paperwork. Manage the design and creation of donor plaques, walls, graphics, signage and recognition pieces. Track naming opportunities, update donor walls and direct and oversee naming celebrations for small gifts.

Game Day-related Stewardship: Escort Athletics Director on home football game days. Direct donor activities associated with filling the Athletics Director’s suite with development prospects (football, basketball and baseball), away game travel, honorary captain and first pitch honorees, as well as other high-level individualized stewardship touches for major gift donors. Donor travel arrangement may include but is not limited to organizing transportation, meals and entertainment for 10-20 individuals traveling to road competitions. Also responsible for tracking and reporting these actions.
