The compensation for this appointment will range from $70,000 to $80,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this staff appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages,

Position Summary Information
| Summary |
The Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning assists in the oversight and management of the Athletic Performance Center and provides comprehensive coaching to improve athletic performance, decrease potential for injury, and improve general health and wellness primarily for men’s and women’s basketball by performing the following duties.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, run, jump, squat, bend, and perform other athletic movements that require high levels of coordination, skill, and strength, safely and with proper technique. The employee will regularly lift and move an average load of 50 pounds in order to demonstrate proper movement technique. The employee will be regularly required to engage in intense cardiovascular and strength training. Furthermore, the employee must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard or other office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Work is normally performed on the training floor, in an intense training environment, with high levels of exposure to health and/or safety hazards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
