This position will develop and implement the sports performance program for assigned sports of Barry's 12 intercollegiate athletic teams which includes developing sport-specific conditioning programs, performance analysis/ sport science data, injury prevention/ rehabilitation programs and nutrition. The Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning will report to the Director of Strength and Conditioning and assist in overseeing the daily operations of the facility (cleaning, equipment storage and replacement). This position will be responsible for teaching proper and safe weightlifting techniques and motivating student-athletes to reach their potential. Additional responsibilities include coordinating rehabilitation with the Athletic Training staff, educating student-athletes and staff in the areas of sports performance, and maintaining compliance with NCAA, SSC, and Barry University rules and regulations. August 1st thru June 30th.
The position is a full-time, eleven (11) month position with full benefits.

The position will assist in maintaining compliance with all NCAA, University, and Conference practices and regulations, while contributing to the continual growth and development of the University's intercollegiate strength and conditioning program.

A Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related program is required. A Master's degree in Exerecise Science or related program is preferred.
Minimum of one year to three years of experience at collegiate, high school or professional setting.
Must have and maintain First Aid and CPR/AED certifications; if not currently certified, must obtain certification prior to working with student-athletes.
Must be certified through the NSCA with their CSCS or through the CSCCA with their SCCC.
Expert applied experience of various movement screenings and correct exercises preferred
Additional certifications recommended [i.e., FMS, PES, CES, USA weightlifting, etc.]
Adept at written and oral communication.
