The Assistant Director of Ticket Sales & Operations reports to the Director of Ticket Operations and leads all outbound ticket sales efforts for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department. In addition, this position helps to provide daily supervision of all ticketing operations and functions for athletic and non-athletic events which are held at The McKenzie Arena, Maclellan Gym, Frost Stadium, UTC Sports Complex and Finley Stadium, as well as for events where UTC is acting as host for the NCAA or Southern Conference.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinates and leads all outbound ticket sales efforts (season, partial, renewals, group and individual) through a best practice approach
Assists with invoicing and renewals for all ticketed sports
Helps to develop new leads through community engagement opportunities and networking
Assists with customer relations, including prospects, season ticket holders and donors, by providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate records
Prepares and maintains box office reports required by the UT System and campus
Assists with the daily management of the Box Office, as well as with game day management for the athletic, arena, and other events as assigned
Assists to provide supervision of part-time ticket office employees with daily and gameday ticket operations
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Experience with Paciolan and partner solutions (SB Client, Salesforce, Oracle Eloqua, etc.) or similar ticketing system preferred
Working knowledge Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) software
Working knowledge of, and compliance with, the university, Southern Conference and NCAA ticket operation policies
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate reporting and financial records
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, as well as the capability of completing projects individually
Ability to maintain positive relationships with external and internal constituencies; must maintain excellent customer service skillset

Minimum Qualifications: Typically requires a high school diploma and two years of relevant experience, which includes one year of experience in ticket sales or operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications : A bachelor’s degree in sport administration, marketing, business, or related field; management experience; and intercollegiate athletics or professional sports experience is preferred.
