| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The Department of Athletics exists to provide educational and athletic opportunities to young men and women, to provide an environment for student-athletes to learn, advance and excel both academically and athletically, and to serve the interests of the University by complimenting and enhancing its diversity and quality of life. Through its athletic programs, the University seeks to unite alumni, faculty, administration and students in a common shared experience. The governing unit within the Department of Athletics is the Director’s Office, which is the administrative office and clearinghouse for the entire Department of Athletics, and promotes the department’s guiding principle of educating and inspiring through athletics. This unit provides support to administrators, coaches, staff members and student-athletes in order to provide and promote a premier intercollegiate athletic program for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Department of Athletics is a highly visible public relations arm of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with statewide, national and international recognition.

| Position Summary |
The Assistant Director of Video Services for Football is responsible to maintain and produce all video requirements in the nationally recognized Football program for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This includes maintaining a state of the art athletics video system; researching and implementing new video editing techniques; staying abreast of new equipment available and advising supervisors of equipment and its capabilities; conceptualizing and designing, with input from coaching staff, videotaping plans with regard to camera positions and assignments; content management and camera technologies; managing and producing all team video requirements for the Football Team including but not limited to: practice, game, recruit, and transfer cutups; maintain Catapult database, users, and film cutups; troubleshoot all A/V and technical issues in UNC football (or related) facilities; travel with football team for away trips; Supervise and manage video student assistant schedules. Position serves as a primary point of contact for any film review issues that may arise. Abide by all UNC, ACC, and NCAA regulations.

| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Master’s and 1-2 years’ experience; or Bachelor’s and 2-4 years’ experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.

| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience in a collegiate or professional athletic program. Proficiency with Catapult Thunder Software; Microsoft Office and Google Suites. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills; strong interpersonal skills; be able to work independently and as a team player; demonstrate creativity within a structured environment; ability to work non-traditional hours.

| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Non-linear digital editing equipment experience. 2 years of experience in a collegiate or professional athletic program.

| Special Physical/Mental Requirements |
Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs or greater. May be required to navigate stairs. Must be able to manage a fast-paced, high volume environment. Attention to detail essential. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions. Travel required. Ability to work extended hours.
