Athletic Marketing
Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience in social media, journalism, communications, digital marketing, or a related field.
The department is especially interested in candidates with experience in a collegiate or professional sports setting, as well as Premiere and After Effects. Photography, graphic design or data analysis experience also a plus.
Monday – Friday8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.mWill require work beyond normal schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and some travel.

May supervise staff including student workers, interns, volunteers, etc. as directed.
Strong working knowledge of social media strategies, techniques, and trends. Experience conceptualizing, executing, and analyzing results of social media campaigns using data-driven techniques. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and Microsoft Office. Ability to conduct regular assessments of successes and areas for improvement.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Ability to use independent judgment and to gather, manage, and impart information to internal and external audiences.Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Copywriting and consistency in copy and style.Ability to foster a collaborative work environment. Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environments.Overall knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry.
Must be able to comply with all University, Department, Board of Trustees, Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.
Job Duties
Coordinate the design and creation of compelling and engaging content in conjunction with the Marketing and Communication Team.
Monitor fan sentiment and identify ways to increase reach and engagement. Regularly attend athletics events.
In collaboration with the Integrated Marketing and Communications team, ideate, develop, edit, and post content across all social media platforms.
Analyze results of social media campaigns, both paid and unpaid, and provide metrics to internal stakeholders.
Maintain a detailed content calendar to ensure the promotion of appropriate team-related content, events, programs, and marketing efforts are properly implemented.
Assist with adding content to the athletic department’s website, GoTigersGo.
Monitor industry social media trends and help position the Tigers accordingly in existing and emerging spaces.
Design and/or create social media content using Adobe Creative Suite as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
