Clemson University Athletics is looking for an Assistant Director - Student Athlete Development to fulfill the following duties:
Responsible for coordinating the programming to enhance the focus areas within Student-Athlete Development of:

65% - Essential - Career Development:
Create, organize and execute career development programming, facilitation and implementation. Builds relationships with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and assists in connecting a network of potential employers and mentors to student-athletes. Assists in organizing and leading career development and networking trips to promote student-athlete connections with potential job opportunities. Creates job shadowing opportunities for student-athletes. Responsible for maintaining employer relations as well as cultivating new relationships with potential employers for student-athletes.
25% - Essential - Personal Development and Responsibility:
Creates, organizes and facilitates programs to promote personal development and responsibility. Builds relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and athletics staff to provide effective programs related to mental health and wellness, drugs and alcohol education, personal identity, and healthy relationships. Collaborates with other members of Student-Athlete Development staff for program creation and implementation. Develops and implements assessment tools to measure and record program and service effectiveness.
10% - Essential - Miscellaneous Duties:
Adheres to Clemson purchasing processes and assists in compliance with department budget. Serve multiple teams as the department liaison to build relationships with student-athletes, coaches and staff. Communicates with participants and other stakeholders to promote engagement in programs. Assists with program scheduling. Provides recruiting talks to recruits and families visiting Clemson. Attends and supports additional Student-Athlete Development programs.
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience - Experience working in Student Services Programs.
Education - Master's Degree - Human Development, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Business Administration, Event Management, & Intercollegiate Athletics
Work Experience - 2+ Years in the creation and/or provision of developmental programs for students.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Student Workers only - Supervises Student workers only
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.
100% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself
5% - Overnight Travel
Standard Hours : 40 Hours / Week
Salary commensurate with experience.
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
