This position serves in raising financial support for Boise State University development teams. Manage day-to-day parking and seating requests, upgrades and fulfillment, assist with annual giving programs to increase funding.
Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute on a project or work team. Incumbent learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. This level is typically focused on self-development. Varsity B Membership and Engagement
Manage Boise State Athletics’ alumni program, Varsity B.
Strategize methods to grow the Varsity B membership and increase alumni engagement
Educate current Boise State student-athletes about the Varsity B
Work with the Bronco Athletic Association to cultivate philanthropic opportunities for former Bronco student-athletes
Work with Bronco Athletic Association support staff to develop marketing strategies for the Varsity B annual membership program
Manage the distribution of Boise State Varsity Letters
Responsible for database management to keep member information up-to-date
Perform other duties as assigned
Communication Strategies
Create and execute a comprehensive communication plan for the Varsity B including, but not limited to, newsletter, social media, website, and various publications
Create a plan to utilize and maintain Varsity B social media accounts to engage Varsity B members
Create engaging and exciting letterwinner content that highlights the successes of letterwinners (ex. military service, career accomplishments, remembrance acknowledgements, etc.)
Special Events and Recognition
Work in collaboration with the Bronco Athletic Association, Athletic department, and Boise State Alumni Association on a comprehensive Varsity B special events calendar including, but not limited to, Homecoming, sports reunions, alumni weekends, and recognition presentations
Develop and execute effective networking and engagement opportunities to connect current student-athletes with Boise State Letterwinners
Assist with career networking events to connect current student-athletes to Letterwinners in the workplace.
Strong interpersonal skills in developing and maintaining good relationships
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while establishing and cultivating working relationships with internal and external customers in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor
Ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities, and successfully manage multiple priority projects
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute social media, email, and direct mail communication strategies that increase engagement
Knowledge of position related NCAA rules and compliance
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Former Division I intercollegiate athletics student-athlete
Two (2) years of relevant experience
One (1) year of experience coordinating events
