The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
Academic Monitoring: Support the academic success of student-athletes by monitoring their progress and providing resources for academic support.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The individual in this job must possess these skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities:
Equestrian Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge and experience in equestrian sports, including training techniques and competition strategies.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with student-athletes, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, events, and administrative tasks efficiently.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, staff, alumni, donors, and the community.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and motivate student-athletes.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and make informed decisions.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using relevant software for record-keeping, scheduling, and communication.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; previous experience in equestrian coaching or a related field. preferred.
