Under the direction of the Head Equipment Manager, the Assistant Equipment Manager will manage in the day-to-day equipment operations for all 19 Division 1 sports. This person is responsible for Assisting the Head Equipment Manager with ordering, distributing, collecting, maintaining, and laundering of uniforms and equipment of all 18 intercollegiate teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of inventory control/accountability, budget preparation, and management are required.
Computer knowledge required. Knowledge of equipment trends, proper fitting of athletic equipment, and laundry equipment operations is required.
The ability to multitask, be flexible, and adapt to change.
The ability to have problem-solving skills and be able to communicate effectively with coaches, student-athletes, and other athletic staff.
Strong coordination, organization, and communication skills.

Work Environment: This position works out of multiple equipment rooms (Athletic Training Center, Edmunds Center, Melching Field) throughout Stetson University. It is a fast-paced environment where you will be working both inside and outside.
Bachelor’s Degree and/or one (1) year of athletic equipment room experience required.
Must have knowledge of various sporting equipment, safety standards, and proper maintenance of said equipment.
Must be a member of AEMA or working toward certification.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University’s auto insurance carrier.
