Department Information
The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Steeped in history and success while embracing strategic innovation, our programs compete at the highest level and strive for national championships. Coordinate sports equipment operations for assigned Georgia Tech athletic programs to include issuance and maintenance of uniforms, equipment and protective gear. Provide guidance and supervision to student equipment assistants. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: GTAA administrators, coaching staff, athletes, vendors, contractors and potential clients. Job Duty 1 -
Oversee and conduct equipment fittings.
Job Duty 2 -
Conduct workout, practice, and game day preparation: issuance of uniforms, protective gear and related equipment.
Job Duty 3 -
Conduct periodic inventory of equipment room; maintain required levels.
Job Duty 4 -
Coordinate provision of laundry services.
Job Duty 5 -
Manage travel plans for away competitions.
Job Duty 6 -
Assist with equipment needs for visiting teams.
Job Duty 7 -
Assist in the administration of equipment contracts.
Job Duty 8 -
Comply with NCAA guidelines related to sports equipment.
Job Duty 9 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Overnight travel requirement for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours (due to client shift schedules, project requirements).
Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certification by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association or ability to obtain within two years of employment
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, as well as knowledge of equipment management including inventory maintenance, fitting, and maintenance. Use of office related and specialized computer applications are required. Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Asst Equipment Manager - Primarily Baseball on a daily basis with additional over site and responsibilities for Softball, Men's and Women's Tennis. Includes assisting with orders, laundry and delivery of ordered goods. Flexibility to work with other assistants to manage different sports schedules.
