QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Prior successful experience in coaching on an intercollegiate or professional level. Candidates should possess the ability to counsel current players, prospective student-athletes, family members, and alumni. Candidates must have experience in recruiting at the Division III level. Candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills and have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various constituent groups. Demonstrated organizational skills; strong vision and leadership skills required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The assistant coach is responsible for helping to provide leadership in the advancement of a small university men’s football program that emphasizes character development and the academic success of student-athletes. Responsibilities for the position include recruiting quality student athletes, practice organization, game planning and weekly preparation for position group, as well as contributing to positive alumni relations. Applicants must show willingness to advance the mission of Waynesburg University while adhering rules and polices established by Waynesburg University as well as NCAA Division III and Presidents’ Athletic Conference policies and rules. Other responsibilities within the athletic department may be assigned as needed.
