Responsibilities:
Assist in operating all aspects of the Division ll intercollegiate football program at Winona State University within the guidelines, policies, rules and regulations of the University,
NCAA
and
NSIC
.
Assist in the identification, evaluation, recruitment, and retention of quality student-athletes for the football program.
Assist in mentoring and reporting academic success of student-athletes to ensure graduation of student-athletes.
Assist in the training, monitoring, and evaluation of individual performance.
Assist in the organization, planning and coaching of all practices and games.
Coordinate and organize team travel including accommodations and itineraries.
Assist with the scouting of opponents including the organization of film editing and using appropriate software programs.
Assist with team game tape exchange.
Fundraise through camps/clinics and other efforts as needed.
Promote and support Winona State University and the Athletic Department’s program mission and goals.
Represent Winona State University and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
Foster interest in Winona State University with all high school students and school personnel while recruiting for
WSU
and the football program.
Instruct university courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
Engage in research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
Provide evidence of continuing professional development to enhance coaching abilities.
Contribute to student growth and development.
Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
Support Winona State University’s mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
Other duties as assigned in the Athletic Department as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
:
Bachelor’s degree at time of appointment.
Minimum of (2) years of demonstrated success as a coach/teacher.
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or desire to obtain.
NCAA
Collegiate coaching experience.
Knowledge of Midwest recruiting base.
Knowledge of
NCAA
rules & regulations.
Offensive Coordinator/O-Line coaching experience
