Assistant Golf Coach

Primary responsibility is to actively participate in daily practice, training session of student-athletes on the Men’s and Women’s Golf teams. The focus of these practice and training sessions will be the teaching and development of skills and game knowledge in the sport of golf.
Additional primary responsibility will be the ability to conduct skill instruction session with student-athletes using the Full Swing Golf Anaylzer program to enhance the performance of student-athletes.
Under the direction of the Head Coach, helps identify and evaluate prospective student-athletes.
Under the direction of the Head coach, assists in securing travel arrangements.
Under the direction of the Head Coach, assists in monitoring the academic progress of student athletes. Directs student athletes to appropriate offices if it is deemed academic intervention is necessary
Under the direction of the Head Coach, participates in securing fund raised dollars to assist with program needs outside of the budgeted monies.
Assists the Head Coach and Athletic Director in planning the department Annual Golf tournament.
Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director serves as a member of the Game Day staff when needed.
Complies with all
NCAA
, conference, and institutional regulations.
Performs any and all other related duties as assigned or directed in order to promote, further, and ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Athletic Department.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
Experience
1+ years prior experience in collegiate golf experience and/or golf teaching professional required
Team management and training/conditioning, etc. at the collegiate level preferred
Knowledge of and adherence to
NCAA
rules, as well as University and departmental policies
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and Email
Excellent organization and time management skills are necessary
Excellent written and oral communication skills required
First Aid/
CPR
certification required
A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license required
The Assistant Golf Coach will be responsible for assisting the organization and administration of an
NCAA
Division
III
golf program (men’s and women’s teams), including recruitment, training, and conditioning student athletes.
