This is a part-time, 12-month, non-exempt position.
Serve as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach (Throws). Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assistant in coaching the teams, including the traditional season, non-traditional season and off-season conditioning/activities
Striving towards and attaining competitive success for the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field teams.
Recruit qualified and competitive student-athletes to the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field teams.
Specific and defined target recruiting and roster (retention) numbers established in conjunction with the Director of Athletics and Head Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach must be met on an annual basis to insure current position status
Develop an appropriate and working knowledge of allowed recruitment tactics, policies and strategies
Maintain up-to-date recruiting and roster information/management through Teamworks Compliance+Recruiting app and website
Assist with administrative duties involved with coaching (e.g. monetary transactions, NCAA forms, uniform distribution, equipment ordering, budgeting, etc.)
Assist with overseeing team fundraising endeavors and participation in department-wide fundraising initiatives
Assist with monitoring of annual budgets for equipment, recruiting, uniforms, apparel, team travel, etc.
Promote values of Marywood University, academics, sportsmanship and life values to team members and all student-athletes
Develop an appropriate and working knowledge of, and be familiar with, NCAA, Conference, and Marywood University athletic policies, procedures, rules and regulations

Be knowledgeable about the NCAA Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA)
Attendance at student-athlete seminars, annual coaching/educational clinics, annual orientation sessions and all athletic staff meetings throughout twelve months, as required
Represent the Athletic Department in an appropriate and professional manner at all times
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation.
Minimum Qualifications:
General knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, strong interpersonal, planning and organizational abilities
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Competence with technology resources
Current valid driver’s license
CPR, AED and First Aid certifications (may be obtained after hire)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Coaching experience at the collegiate level
Required Documents:
A completed Marywood application, cover letter, resume, and names and contact information for three professional references.

The operation of vehicles and the transportation of athletes are duties that are required at various times. The selected employee must have a valid driver’s license issued in the United States and will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check.
