Duties** / ***Responsibilities* :

• Assists in recruitment of potential student-athletes, coordinate campus visits and communication with recruits, coaches and parents.

• Monitor and advise current student-athletes academically

• Practice and skill development

• Game scheduling

• Remain compliant with all appropriate Wingate University, South Atlantic Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

• Provide counsel and leadership to student-athletes

• Prepare scouting reports on upcoming opponents

• Supervise graduate assistants and student managers

• Monitor, update and supplement budget

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by head coach.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree preferred

• At least two years of experience as a student athlete and / or collegiate coaching experience or two years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to work effectively in a diverse workplace, with a variety of teams, coaches, sports medicine and nutrition professionals, and support staff

• The candidate must also possess strong organizational and communications skills

• Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules.

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Foster a cooperative work environment.

• Knowledge of NCAA student-athlete academic eligibility requirements and knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules.

• Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional personnel in area of expertise
