Job Description:
Responsibilities: Assist Head Coach in managing all phases of a NCAA, Division III men's soccer program with specific responsibilities outlined below:
Understand, support and embody team's overarching philosophy as developed by Head Coach.
Teach proper soccer techniques in position groups assigned by the head coach and assess skill development.
Assist planning practice and game planning
Recruit future student athletes who understand and are prepared for the demands presented by small, private-college, non-scholarship athletic programs. Includes: knowledge and use of Frontrush, travel, nightly calls, conducting campus visits.
Instruct concepts of overall physical health and safety for both individuals and the team.
Educate students on NCAA Division III rules and Marietta College Athletics Department Learning Outcomes
Scout opponents by analyzing video and/or traveling to games
Monitor academic progress of team members
Teach a 1-credit skill class in each semester
Perform athletic department duties as assigned by the athletic director. Such duties may include: game day management for other sports, facility supervision, intramural supervision, sports information assistance or other.
Expectations: Uphold the high professional standard of conduct expected of each person on campus and outlined in our Employee Handbook. Build positive interpersonal relationships in and out of the athletic department by attending College functions, both social and professional; staff meetings; faculty meetings; serving on committees; etc.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, master's preferred and collegiate playing experience
Ability to successfully impart knowledge and instigate learning in student athletes
Willingness to be team player in the athletic department and role model for athletes
Current valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check.
