ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Serve as assistant Men's soccer coach with specific coaching responsibilities assigned by the head coach;

Attend practices, competitions, meeting , planning sessions, and other essential soccer-related activities;

Assist the head coach in administration and management of the soccer program as assigned; Actively pallicipate in the recruitment of student-athletes;

Demonstrate professionalism and engagement in professional development activities, including but not limited to, knowledge acquisition, staying current with teaching techniques, strategies, and trends, attending professional meetings , and serving in leadership positions in professional organizations ;

Adhere to the rules, policies, and regulations established by Luther College, the

American Rivers Conference (A-R-C), and the NCAA;

Demonstrate a willingness to support the mission, philosophy, and goals of Luther College, NCAA III, and A-R-C;

Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Assistant to the Associate Athletic Director

Assist/Lead in Revenue Generating Projects and Hosting including Just For Kix, High School Union events, hosting of high school events including track meets, and exploring community options for further revenue opportunities.

Lead the outdoor and facility care and management for the cross country course and soccer fields

Assist/Coordinate with Academic Year Sports Clinics

Assist Associate Athletic Director with hosting winter and spring home events with focus

on basketball, baseball, softball, track, and tennis

Assist Associate AD and Athletics Communications Director with game day incentives for fans, half-time

entertainment and opportunities, and other game day activities that would add to the contest/event.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Work-Study Students, Student Coaches, and Student Managers

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS :

Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred

Experience: 3-5 years of successful high school or college soccer coaching experience preferred Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends of the college

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:

May require exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as noise and distractions , Substantial interaction with people is required and consistently demonstrating a positive and cooperative attitude is important. May require occasional lifting of equipment or supplies and/or the ability to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects. The job responsibilities require travel and working evenings and weekends.
