General Information:

James Madison University, a Division I member of the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference, is seeking as Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach include but are not limited to:
Coaching, practice organization, recruiting, player development, overseeing academic success of players, team travel and other administrative duties along with compliance with NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and JMU regulations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Previous playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level
• Familiarity with James Madison University and the Sun Belt Conference.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills and will possess initiative and leadership.
• The ability to guide and support James Madison University student-athletes in their quest for excellence-academically, athletically and socially as they prepare for productive and meaningful lives is essential.
• Knowledge and/or expertise of the NCAA recruitment process
  

Preferred:

• Master’s degree
• Experience playing and/or coaching at a high Division I level.
• Strong interest in recruitment process with desire to travel domestically and internationally to recruit the highest level and best fit for the program.
