The assistant men’s & women's golf coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with the implementation of a competitive athletic program including coaching, recruiting, and retention of student-athletes. The assistant coach is responsible for helping implement all institutional, United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) policies governing athletics. They will report directly to the head coach and AVP for Athlectics.

The assistant men’s & women's golf coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with the implementation of a competitive athletic program including coaching, recruiting, and retention of student-athletes. The assistant coach is responsible for helping implement all institutional, United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) policies governing athletics. They will report directly to the head coach and AVP for Athlectics.
Recruit student-athletes according to Admission Office, USCAA and NAIA procedures.
Assists the head coach in scheduling and providing transportation.
Assists in preparing events and practices. Attends all practices and invitationals.
Carries out scouting assignments as outlined by the Head Coach.
Cooperates with other staff to ensure that the student-athlete is provided with services to succeed academically and personally.
Maintains good relationship with alumnus, parents, officials, volunteers and fans.
Rules and regulations set forth by SMWC, the USCAA and NAIA, should be maintained, reviewed and practiced ensuring compliance relative to those applicable duties.

Help process credit card statements and check requisitions in a timely manner.
Maintain practice and game facility as applicable.
Develop gameday itineraries, secure lodging, and plan meals for all team travel dates.
Provide travel information for faculty.
Supervision:
Responsible for the direct supervision of student-athletes, and student staff.
Requirements
Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
Working knowledge of USCAA and NAIA rules and regulations.
2+ years of relative assistant coaching experience at a USCAA, NAIA, or NCAA, preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small college setting and the ability to balance all student-athlete needs.
Proven coaching experience in the assigned sport.
Ability to recruit and retain student-athletes.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and OneDrive (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
