This recruitment offers a $10,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine#UWMRecruitmentIncentive UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a full time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), day shift ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER (Registered Nurse 3) to join the UW Sports Medicine Center, located at Husky Stadium. This is a great chance to join a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary clinic that brings together spine care, orthopedics, sports medicine, primary care, and physical therapy. The Assistant Nurse Manager will play a critical role in our day-to-day clinic operations. The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide direct nursing care, train and manage staff, spearhead quality improvement initiatives, and ensure safe patient care practices. The Assistant Nurse Manager will be part of a team that includes 5 Registered Nurses, 11 Medical Assistants, 2 Patient Care Coordinators, 8 Patient Services Specialists and 12 Physical Therapists. WORK SCHEDULE 40 hours per week Monday-Friday The clinic is open 7am-6pm; the exact shift schedule may vary each week PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Establishes and maintains credibility as a leader of day-to-day clinic operations Oversees staffing for Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants Provides leadership for clinical and administrative functions Develops, coordinates, and maintains various work processes that ensure successful daily clinical function Promotes effective communication among staff and patients Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward problem resolutions Leads the hiring processes for Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants Implements and manages orientation and educational programs for staff Establishes and maintains safety and emergency protocols for the clinic Provides expert nursing care, including phone triage, pre-op teaching and clinical support during minimally-invasive surgical procedures Performs Registered Nurse 2 duties as required REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of current or recent orthopedic nursing experience Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington BLS ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.   As the No. 1 hospital in Seattle and Washington State since 2012 (U.S. News & World Report) and nationally ranked in seven specialties, UW Medical Center prides itself on compassionate patient care as well as its pioneering medical advances.  The UW Medical Center-Montlake campus is located on the edge of the beautiful UW campus which includes many amenities available to our staff as well as very convenient public transit options including the Sound Transit’s light rail station across the street.
