Job Description

Develops, leads, and organizes all facets of a Lacrosse athletic program. Adheres to all NESCAC and NCAA rules. Recruits, plans and executes practices, coaches athletic contests, and mentors student-athletes. Oversees yearly budgeting responsibilities, team fundraising, social media tasks, and alumni networking. Teaches physical education classes as needed. Serves on department and college committees.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, prepares, and runs practice sessions and competition strategies in collaboration with coaching staff. Coaches student athletes during practice, at home and away events, and tournaments.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with student athletes, prospective students, other coaches, leadership, faculty, and staff 
  • Actively recruits student-athletes, including communication and networking with coaches, parents, alumni, and counselors. Adheres to all NCAA and NESCAC regulations. 
  • Performs administrative tasks related to scheduling, budgeting, fundraising, equipment and facilities management, and rules compliance. 
  • Mentors student-athletes through regular conversations regarding schedule, academic priorities, wellness, leadership, and time management.
