Assistant Softball Coach (Full-Time)

Position Summary

The Assistant Softball Coach supports the Head Softball Coach in all aspects of operating
a competitive collegiate softball program. This individual plays a key role in player
development, recruitment, and program administration while fostering a Christ-centered
environment that aligns with the mission of the College. The Assistant Coach has a
demonstrable faith in Jesus Christ and serves as a positive role model for student-athletes.

development of student-athletes.

• Lead and support recruiting e(cid:431)orts, including identifying, evaluating, and

communicating with prospective student-athletes.

• Assist with game day operations, including preparation, scouting, and opponent

analysis.

• Monitor academic progress and support the holistic development of student-

athletes.

• Promote a culture of discipline, sportsmanship, and spiritual growth within the

program.

• Assist with program administration, including equipment management, travel

coordination, budgeting support, and compliance requirements.
• Support camps, clinics, and community engagement initiatives.
• Represent the College and softball program in a professional and positive manner.
• Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director to support

departmental operations.

Desired Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Previous collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, strategy, and skill development.
• Proven ability or strong potential in recruiting student-athletes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to build relationships with student-athletes, recruits, and campus

stakeholders.

• Commitment to the mission and values of the College, including a demonstrable

faith in Jesus Christ.
