Assistant Softball Coach
Department: Athletics
Location: Columbia, MO
Type: Staff, full-time

Pay: $27,000-$29,0000 annually (Pay range may vary based on geographic location)

Job Summary:

• The Softball Assistant Coach will provide overall support to the Softball Program.
• Assist the head and assistant coaches in training of student athletes in order to prepare them mentally and physically for practice and competition.
• Coaching and training of student athletes in pitching, hitting, and fielding.
• Supervision of practice, study hall or other team events while head coach or assistant coach are away.
• Proficient in working with word, excel and power point.
• Have appropriate boundaries with student athletes, assisting them in becoming the best student-athlete they can become.
• Participation in program and athletic department fund-raising efforts.
• Work effectively with students, student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, officials, and coaching peers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience with college softball

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with pitchers
• Master's Degree
• NAIA experience
