The Assistant Softball Coach is a full-time position responsible for assisting with the recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes. The position is responsible for assisting the Head Softball Coach with the day-to-day operations of the Softball program including coaching, recruiting, practice planning and preparation, competition scheduling, fundraising, budgetary management, strength & conditioning, academic monitoring, and other duties as assigned. The Assistant Softball Coach will also assist in the facilitation of program scheduling, college and community relations, and the academic achievement of the student-athletes. The position reports to the Head Softball Coach.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
Education: Bachelors’ degree required.
Experience : Experience coaching sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers is preferred but will consider experience in other event areas based on candidate’s qualifications. Demonstrated knowledge of SLIAC and NCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility and related functions is required.
Skills : Candidates should have an athletics philosophy compatible with a Division-III liberal arts college.
