Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Athletics is searching for an Assistant Coach in its intercollegiate Softball program. This is a fixed-term (benefits eligible), one year position.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Assist Coaching Staff with skill instruction, student-athlete development, community involvement, camps, practice and game coaching.

  • Assist in the development of a defensive position group

  • Provide recommendations to staff for the preparation and planning of practice sessions

  • Assist head coach with scouting, video management, and game preparation

  • Assist in the recruitment of student athletes. Attend off campus games for the purpose of evaluation. Assist as needed in corresponding with prospective student-athletes.

  • Assists as needed with travel arrangements for team. Assist with the maintenance of internal team statistics, scouting reports and game plans.

  • Interact with various campus offices and departments in a continuous relationship building capacity.

  • Other duties as assigned
