Thiel College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Sports Information Director. Thiel College is a proud member of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) and sponsors 23 NCAA Division III programs. This position reports to the Associate Director of Athletics and Director of Sports Information. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Serve as the primary contact for several sports
• Provide in-game statistics for multiple sports utilizing NCAA LiveStats, Presto or Stat Crew

• Serve as the primary contact for several sports
• Provide in-game statistics for multiple sports utilizing NCAA LiveStats, Presto or Stat Crew

• Assist in the production of multiple publications and other printed materials
• Game day and event management
• Support on-campus student media efforts
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring and oversight of the department of athletics work study students
• Spearhead social media efforts
•Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division III, the Presidents Athletic Conference, and Thiel College
• Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in communication(s), journalism, sport management or related field
• Experience using NCAA LiveStats, Presto, Stat Crew or other related programs for in-game scoring
• Experience working in a collegiate-athletics setting
• Experience utilizing design programs such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Box Out Sports
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and strategies
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Willingness to travel on a limited basis
• Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
• Preference will be given to individuals with a strong background in NCAA LiveStats, Presto or Stat Crew, especially volleyball, football, basketball and baseball
• Experience in website maintenance utilizing SIDEARM Sports
• Game day and event management experience

This is a full-time hourly, 12-month paid position with fringe benefits, on-campus housing, a cell phone stipend, and a meal plan.
