Job Description

The Assistant Director of Sports Performance will assist the Director of Football Performance in all aspects of sports performance (strength and conditioning, nutrition, etc.). This position will also be responsible for the design and implementation of sports performance programs for the Men’s and Women’s Track & Field teams at Idaho State University. This coach must have the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population of student athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and administrators. Not only will this coach design sport specific training programs, but they must also be able to effectively coach and demonstrate proper technique for Olympic lifts, traditional strength movements, plyometrics, speed and agility movements, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises. This coach will also be responsible for helping to preserve the health, safety and welfare of ISU student athletes.

Key Responsibilities

●Coaching
   ~ Assist the Director of Football Performance in the planning and implementation of all aspects of sports performance (strength and conditioning, nutrition, etc.)
    ~ Directly Oversee the planning and implementation of all strength and conditioning workouts for the following sports.
                ■Men’ & Women’s Track & Field (Indoor/Outdoor)
   ~ Conduct long range planning for assigned sport teams
