Utah Athletics is seeking highly motivated and organized individuals to join our team as Assistant/Associate Director of Ticket Operations. This key position will play a pivotal role in managing ticket operations for our athletic events, ensuring a seamless experience for supporters, and contributing to the overall success of our department. Ticketing Management: Oversee the day-to-day ticket operations for all Utah Athletics events, including but not limited to football, basketball, and other sporting events. Serve as the primary contact for ticket operations for three varsity sports to be determined. Supervise and lead a team of ticketing professionals to ensure efficient operations and superior customer service. Monitor ticket inventory, pricing, and availability, making data-driven decisions to optimize revenue and attendance. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting fans with ticketing and Crimson Club membership inquiries, purchases, and issue resolution. Implement and maintain best practices for fan engagement and satisfaction, continuously improving the ticketing experience. Box Office Operations: Manage all aspects of the box office, including staffing, training, employee payroll and scheduling. Oversee cash handling and reconciliation procedures, ensuring financial accuracy and security. Technology and Systems:Utilize ticketing software systems to manage sales, distribution, and reporting.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, implementing new technologies and tools as needed to enhance ticketing operations. Sales and Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement ticket sales strategies and promotions. Assist in creating and executing marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales and enhance attendance. Financial Management: Assist in budget preparation and financial reporting, ensuring financial goals are met. Assist the Business Office with cash and check deposits. Monitor revenue and expenses related to ticket operations, making recommendations for cost-effective solutions. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with NCAA and University of Utah ticketing policies and regulations. Generate regular reports on ticket sales, attendance, and other relevant metrics for departmental and institutional use.
Two years previous box office, customer service, and supervisory experience or related experience required; superior interpersonal skills both in management and group decision-making along with organizational, written and oral communications skills; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education) preferred.
