Job Description:
Primary Function: Supports the design, implementation, and delivery of strength and conditioning programs for assigned sport teams; works under supervision to deliver evidence-based training sessions aligned with department philosophy; collaborates with coaches, athletic trainers, and nutrition staff as needed to ensure athlete safety, performance optimization, and compliance with NCAA and institutional standards; and maintains accurate performance records and contributes to the professional development of student interns or graduate assistants under guidance.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; completion of CSCS, SCCC, or USAW Level 1 certification; CPR/AED and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications; and strong organizational, interpersonal, and required. Regular participation in continuing education units (CEUs) to maintain certifications and knowledge of best practices is expected. Master’s degree in kinesiology, exercise science or related field preferred.
