The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible to assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in administration, supervision and development of a comprehensive fitness program. The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will be expected to work with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach to assess the recreation and fitness needs of the campus. The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach reports to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
This position works on-site in Jackson, MS. Compensation for this position includes a stipend plus on campus housing and meals.
Job Duties
Responsible for the design and implementation of assigned athletic teams.
Review, develop and implement sound researched based sport performance programming.
Establish long-range planning for strength program enhancements.
Assist in the maintenance review, repair, inventory and upkeep of the facilities and equipment.
Supervise, schedule, and train interns when applicable.
Serve on the On Call Professional Staff for emergencies (If residing on campus).
Accept game-day administration obligations each semester if necessary.
Participate in various other areas of interest for the College and Millsaps Athletics.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach or the Athletic Director.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise science or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
CSCS or CSCCa Certification required
CPR / First Aid certification required.
6 months to 1-year related experience working in a college setting.
Proven ability to work independently.
Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license
