Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach needed
Apply NowResponsibilities: The responsibilities are split between the implementation, programming, general direction, and monitoring of strength and conditioning programs for Endicott student-athletes. Under the direction of the Head Strength & Conditioning coach, this position will continuously assess individual
athlete needs and performance metrics, track progress, and adjunct training programs accordingly. They will assist in designing and implementing comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes across various sports teams while supervising the various strength programs and implementation in a safe and technically sound setting.
While working within the Athletic Performance model, this position will collaborate with athletic training and sports medicine staff to address and rehabilitate injuries, ensuring a seamless integration of strength training and injury prevention strategies. Collaboration and effective communication with sport coaches,
administrators, and other Athletic Performance staff (Sport Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Applied Sport Science & Analytics) is required to fully meet the needs of our student-athletes.
The strength & conditioning coach will stay up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in strength and conditioning, incorporating evidence-based practices into training programs. With others, assist in the maintenance and organization of the strength and conditioning facility, ensuring a safe and clean training environment.
A successful candidate must have the ability to think critically and problem solve along with effectively communicating with students, coaches, and other administrative staff. The candidate will create professional relationships with students, staff, coaches, and faculty and exhibit the standards and culture of the department and institution, while fostering a positive and motivating training atmosphere, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic among student-athletes.
The candidate must adhere to all policies laid out in the Endicott Employee Handbook and the guidelines set by the Head Strength &
Conditioning Coach.
