BASIC FUNCTION

The position will report directly to the Senior Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Performance with basic responsibilities to include the design and implementation of programs for assigned teams through teaching and instructing weight training and run prescription for specific athletic endeavors and sport demands.

The successful applicant will take the lead role over teams to be determined in addition to assisting with other teams as assigned.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Designs year-long, comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams to include pre-season, in-season, postseason and offseason training cycles. 
• Strive to maximize student-athletes’ speed, strength, and power capabilities.
• Motivate and empower athletes both physically and mentally in relation to their fitness and performance goals.
• Demonstrates strong coaching ability, program design skills, communication, organization, data literacy, accountability, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Meets regularly with coaches and athletic trainers to keep updated on student-athletes' status.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Must possess current credentials through the NCSA (CSCS) or the CSCCa (SCCC) and CPR/AED certification. 
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including nights and weekends.

SALARY RANGE DISCLOSURE:

$35,000 - $40,000
