The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with general oversight of the Strength and Conditioning Program for the university's 24 NCAA Division I sports. Team assignments based on experience and facility scheduling.

Maintain knowledge of best practices to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of student-athletes.
Supervises and coordinates strength and conditioning programs for men's and women's sports as required.
Performs strength testing and evaluation as assigned.
Implementation and reporting of sports science technology and software.
Oversees strength and conditioning programs which elicit safe and correct execution of exercise technique.
Effectively communicates with athletic trainers and coaches

Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Responsible for adhering to all department and University policies and procedures and the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the NCAA.
Responsible for adhering to all Department and University continuing education initiatives and required certifications and trainings.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience ‘
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) or Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA)
CPR/AED Certification
Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree
3+ Years of relevant work experience
Previous coaching experience with soccer, baseball, and/or basketball.
