Athletic Director
This position provides administrative support to the Athletics Director.Tennessee Tech is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
Administrative duties include overseeing the daily operations of the AD’s office; researching, compiling, and responding to requests for special reports including the department’s Annual Report and NCAA/OVC reports; strategic planning; event planning and coordination on behalf of the Athletics Director; and game contract initiation, review, and processing. Additional duties include assisting the Associate Athletics Director with personnel searches and other HR-related duties, as well as potentially assisting with budget management.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field with three years of relevant experience in an administrative capacity or an associate’s degree (two years of college) and five years of relevant administrative experience. Demonstrated proficiency with various software applications such as Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong analytical and communication skills, and attention to detail. Must demonstrate good judgment and discretion in managing highly confidential information.
Experience with Banner Finance and PeopleAdmin. Experience with University financial systems and a knowledge of university policies and regulations. Experience managing budgets.
Must be able to work some nights and weekend at athletic events.
Compensation and Benefits
Commensurate with education and experience. Administrative Pay grade AD45.
Tennessee Tech offers a competitive benefits package. Benefits include the accumulation of two vacation days per month and one sick leave day per month, and thirteen University holidays.
