The Staff Assistant in the Department of Athletics is to provide administrative support for the Director Athletics, help meet the needs of the coaching staff, and play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Staff Assistant of the Athletics Department should be a persondevoted to Christ, possessing skills commensurate with the job.
Three years of experience with developed skills in typing, the use of word processing, office organization, filing procedures, and good people relations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide administrative support to the Director of Athletics in the leadership and oversight of 25 athletics programs, 400+ student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
Maintain the filing system for Director of Athletics and initiate files and records as needed.
Assist the Director of Athletics with donor relations, stewardship, and help maintain accurate records of all athletics donations and development.
Help initiate and provide communication to the Department of Athletics on behalf of the Director of Athletics.
Schedule and attend weekly administrative/regular staff meetings.
Supervise Department of Athletics student workers and office to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
Assist the Director of Athletics with management of his/her calendar.
Lead and direct all initiatives and correspondence with the Junior Patriot Club.
Assist the Director of Athletics and Assistant Director of Athletics for Operations with the scheduling of athletic facilities.
In partnership with the Assistant Director of Athletics for Operations, initiate and provide leadership in the areas of accounting, purchase order creation, credit card management, and cash advances for coaches and staff.
Tasks as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Administer all responsibilities in accordance with all applicable NCAA rules and regulations.
WORKSCHEDULE:
The Athletics Staff Assistant will work 40 hours per week with some variations to the normal working hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) with an occasional need to work evenings and Saturdays.
