Job Description:
Overview: Is responsible for assisting in the overall management of the College's men's and women's track and field programs, specifically the throws events. Duties include coaching, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, scheduling and budget management, equipment ordering, scheduling contests, viable fundraising, public relations, and other duties.
Status: Full-time position. Works on an academic year schedule.

Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in a related field.
Skills & Experience:
Work Hours & Travel: This position requires travel to away contests during the season and to high school/club events, and other opportunities to meet with prospective students. Extended weekend and evening hours especially during the wrestling season are expected. Current valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements: This position is located on campus and works in a traditional office environment. The below requirements are expected:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Also required is the ability to listen, hear, speak, read, write, climb stairs, bend, stoop, and stand for intermittently long periods of time. Must be able to use a computer to accomplish a variety of job tasks.
Special Requirements: As key personnel representing the College, this position requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to relate to a diverse population, and the ability and willingness to model the mission and high standard of behavior of Augustana College. Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check.
