St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for two part-time positions of Assistant Track & Field Coach: one overseeing throwing events and the other overseeing distance runners. The Assistant Track & Field Coach is responsible for assisting in the management of all phases of highly competitive NCAA Division III Track & Field programs, which includes recruitment of qualified student-athletes; coaching of assigned events during practice and competition for men’s and women’s programs; administration, organization, and evaluation of all aspects of the program; and adherence to all NCAA Division III conference and institutional policies and procedures. These are part-time contingent positions with no benefits provided.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, the National Public Honors College, is located in Historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. Bachelor’s degree required.
Knowledge of NCAA and UEC rules and regulations.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel, work nights and weekends required.
Ability to lift approximately 30 pounds.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in collegiate coaching and Certified Level One by the USATF or USTFCCCA.
Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
