Summary of Job Duties: The Assistant Volleyball Coach will assist Head Women’s Volleyball Coach in the overall operation of a Division I women’s volleyball program, to include managing practice, game preparation, overseeing administrative processes, and taking the lead of planning and coordinating defensive systems in addition to recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least three years college coaching experience
Experience recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, both domestically and internationally, consistent with NCAA guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
At least five to seven years college coaching experience with a demonstrated knowledge of motor learning principles
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and improve a team’s defensive system with particular emphasis on blocking
Experience with a range of volleyball specific software: Data Volley, VolleyMetrics, Volley Station, Hudl and University Athlete
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to work with a culturally diverse population
Ability to manage multiple projects
