Job Description:

To assist the Head Volleyball Coach in the administration and operation of a Division I Volleyball Program consistent with the policies of Southern Utah University, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and other appropriate governing bodies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Instruct, demonstrate and train individual and team skills in all areas of practices within the SUU system as designated by the head coach.
• Assist in the creation of practice plans, conduct on-court skills and strategies training. Breakdown team and individual practice film and coordinate film sessions.
• Scout and prepare reports against opponents by creating detailed scouting reports.
• Assist the head coach in recruiting and developing current and future student-athletes. Consistently recruit national caliber athletes for enrollment at the University through mail, phone, and in-person contact. Identify and properly vet prospects of strong character, academic ability, and athletic skill. Evaluate recruits at competition. Organize and coordinate official and unofficial visits by gaining a knowledge of NCAA rules.
• Oversee program's video and scoresheet video uploading requirements by following Conference rules and deadlines.
• Assist the head coach in building strong relationships with alumni, fans, campus partners and the broader community.
• Assist with work related to camp preparations and administration, equipment services, communications, social media, community service and other important areas as requested by the head coach.
• Effectively work with staff members in the areas of compliance, student development, external operations, facilities/operations, equipment operations, internal operations, and athletic development. Assist in organizing team and coach travel, compliance paperwork, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Participate in other duties assigned by the athletic administration and head coach.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 2 year experience
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred

• Master's degree
