Create and lead team workouts for all varsity sports to elevate sports performance through injury prevention, power production, and functional movement. Responsible for the management and supervision of all Wellness Center operations.
Provide oversight for the development and implementation of all WLC processes, procedures, programming, and scheduling while training/mentoring a student staff.
Responsibilities
Strength and Conditioning Oversight
Collaborate with coaches and athletic training personnel to design, schedule, and implement strength and conditioning workout programs for 18 varsity sport teams using Teambuildr Software.
Engage with Athletic Training personnel to maintain awareness of athlete injuries. Create special rehab protocols for return to play.
Provide leadership for holistic development of student athletes including nurturing their spiritual formation, giving attention to their physical well-being, and facilitating a workout culture that produces vitality resulting in high student-athlete satisfaction.
Provide oversight for the training, scheduling and mentoring of student Strength and Conditioning staff.
WLC Administration
Develop and implement policies, and procedures directly related to Wellness Center operations, including hiring, managing, training and evaluating Wellness Center operational staff.
Supervise recruitment efforts and staff selection process leading to fair & efficient operations. Plan and conduct ongoing staff training.
Lead team of student managers providing oversight for scheduling maintenance, marketing, initiatives, & staff mentorship.
Effectively manage all payment processes for student workers and maintain accurate records of budget and payment history.
Assist in the scheduling of the Penz Center & group fitness studio.
WLC Maintenance and Cleaning
Assist in the oversight of fitness center equipment while monitoring appearance, cleanliness, safety & sanitary condition of facilities.
In collaboration with the Wellness Center personnel, develop and execute a system of routine maintenance, a schedule of daily, weekly, quarterly and annual maintenance to ensure proper working condition and adherence to warranty requirements.
Train staff to assist in routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
Collaborate with facilities management team to ensure proper maintenance/cleaning procedures are followed for entire facility.
Provide oversight for the purchasing and replacement of WLC equipment in line with WLC budget considerations.
Assure preparation of WLC tablets, hardware, and software.
Required Skills

Knowledge of sports management and the safety and legal guidelines for Division III intercollegiate sports.
Demonstrated ability to work alongside coaches, players, students, staff, and faculty in a cooperative and collaborative style.
Self-motivated and detail oriented.
Demonstrated understanding of fitness, physical wellness, and sport-specific strength & conditioning programming.
Commitment to long term athlete development and the ability to partner with coaches, training staff, and each athlete.
Ability to lead/mentor 30-40 student workers and 400+ athletes.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Knowledge of NCAA, MIAC, and institutional rules/regulations.
Experience
Required:
2+ years collegiate strength & conditioning experience or 4+ years of high school/private strength & conditioning experience.
CPR/AED certification.
One or more of the following certifications: CSCS, USAWL, CSCCa.
Preferred:
Additional certifications in FMS, RPR, and SAQ.
Previous experience using Teambuildr, Flex VBT, & Freelap desired.
Previous experience in fitness center operations desired.

Additional Information
Needs stamina and strength to lift, move and work with fitness equipmentin excess of 50lbs.
Ability to work indoors/outdoors with crowds and loud music.
Must have ability to work occasional nights/weekends.
1.0 FTE/12 months (June 1st - May 31st).
