Carleton College, a highly selective, nationally-ranked liberal arts college in Northfield, Minnesota, seeks to hire a part-time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the recruitment, retention, and day-to-day operations of the women’s basketball program.

This is a part-time staff position who reports to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach.
Organize, prepare, and conduct safe and strategic individual and team training sessions and competitive strategies with the head coach.
Execute appropriate coaching decisions during practice and competition that ensure the welfare of the student athletes representing their program.
Understand and support students who are balancing multiple responsibilities as students and athletes in a rigorous academic environment.
Under the head coach, collaborate on a comprehensive recruiting plan that demonstrates successful results for the recruitment, yield and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field is required College coaching and/or playing experience is strongly preferred
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able organize and interact functionally, orally and in writing, with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff, with a commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented office environment and interact in a positive manner with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the public
Strong organizational and mentoring skills
Valid driver’s license (required)
