Position Summary
Salem Academy and College, an NCAA Division III member institution and member of the USA South Athletic Conference, is seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-centered individual for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. This position will assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in all aspects of operating and developing a competitive NCAA Division III women’s basketball program that aligns with the mission and values of Salem College.
The Assistant Coach will play a key role in recruiting quality student-athletes, player development, practice planning, game preparation, team travel, and fostering a positive student-athlete experience. The successful candidate must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively during the academic year and recruiting periods.

Physical Functions
While performing the responsibilities of the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach the employee is required to sit for varying lengths of time; bend, reach, lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds; occasionally stand, walk, and kneel and regularly ascend/descend stairs; use hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard; perform extended periods of work at a computer workstation, view a computer monitor; perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and receive detailed information through oral communication; express and exchange ideas by means of spoken word; and work in an office setting.
