Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazing opportunity for individuals excited and dedicated to becoming the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will manage the program by providing ongoing assistance in recruitment, training and leadership for student athletes while creating positive experiences for all individuals participating in the baseball program. You will assist with team and player development and training as well as contribute ideas and input for practices. In the head coach's absence, you will lead and demonstrate practices and may have specific positional coordination responsibilities and supervise other coaches. You will evaluate athletes’ performances and make recommendations and/or decisions regarding participation in competitions. Through continual communication and sharing information about the program with alumni and friends, you will assist with fundraising efforts for the program.

You will work in collaboration with the trainers and other staff (equipment, sports information, facilities) assigned to the team and oversee the goal keepers. You will also identify, evaluate, and assist with ongoing recruitment of prospective athletes, with recruitment responsibilities that may be off campus, including home visits, and assist with on-campus visits (National or International). You will participate in scheduling, planning and travel arrangements, which may include transporting athletes and/or equipment to away competition. You will conduct research for and make recommendations regarding equipment purchases, meeting the continued needs of the team. An integral part of the success of our athletic programs, you will support team and players to thrive academically, helping to integrate athletes with Institute and department services. As our assistant women’s basketball coach, you will be a role model, exemplifying high standards of sportsmanship, conduct and values in support of the mission and vision of the Institute.

You will be responsible for compliance with NCAA and HCAC rules operating within Institute and Sports specific policies; work in collaboration with the trainers and other staff (equipment, sports information, facilities) assigned to the team. You will identify, evaluate, and assist with the ongoing recruitment of prospective athletes; recruitment responsibilities may be off campus, including home visits, and assist with on-campus visits (National or International). This position will support team and players to thrive academically; integrate athletes with Institute and department services. You will participate in scheduling, planning, and travel arrangements, which may include transporting to away the competition; research and recommend equipment purchases and communicate with alumni and friends of the program and assist with fundraising for the program.

Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor's degree required;1-2 years-experience playing experience at the collegiate or professional level.

Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree, college coaching experience, and demonstrated ability to recruit academically oriented student-athletes.
