The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for organizing all aspects of recruiting, coaching, and development of Division I student-athletes at Lafayette College and supports all facets of the women’s basketball program.
This position will be the 2nd assistant coach on staff and charged with leading all recruiting efforts for the Lafayette College Women’s Basketball program. The successful candidate will assist with the assessment and recruiting of appropriate student-athletes with excellent academic background to a NCAA Division I institution competing in the Patriot League. Assist in scouting and in-season film evaluation and breakdown. Assist in practice planning, skill development sessions and execution. Assist in the organization and planning of all special events including fund-raising and development activities. Assist in continued development of positive public relations with alumni and the community. Assist with competitive contests. Work closely with Sports Medicine for the care and prevention of athletic injuries and support the overall drug and alcohol education program for student-athletes. Attend department meetings. Performance of all other duties and special projects as assigned by the athletic administration and Head Women’s Basketball Coach.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 3-5 years experience coaching at the Division I level. Knowledge of and ability to abide by NCAA, Patriot League, and Lafayette College rules and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with knowledge of Google Workspace for Education and ARMS.
The position is a full-time 12 month position and includes a competitive benefits package. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
