Position: Assistant Women’s Golf Coach

Department: Athletics

Status: Full Time

Position Summary:

The Assistant Women’s Golf Coach has the responsibility of assisting the Head Golf Coach in all aspects of this NCAA Division I women’s golf program, must have a proven record of success coaching at the collegiate level, and be able to adhere to all university, Conference, and NCAA regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach with recruiting, administration, and on field instruction of the Women’s Golf program
• Must have the ability to evaluate, contact, and recruit potential student athletes
• Have the ability to analyze video; help formulate game and training strategies; and instruct student- athletes on the techniques of Women’s Golf
• Help monitor the academic progress of student-athletes
• Implement and supervise proper training techniques and equipment usage
• Assist in pre-tournament preparation and post-tournament analysis
• Assist in promoting, organizing and running camps, and aid in fundraising efforts to improve the Women’s Golf program and athletic department
• Communicate and collaborate, as needed, with other campus departments; such as academic advising, residence life, admissions, sports information, campus recreation, compliance, athletic training, and strength and conditioning
• Exemplify the goals, values and objectives of the program while displaying the highest level of ethical standards and commitment to the overall success of Campbell Athletics
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Conduct all activities in compliance with NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations
• Uphold and abide by the Athletic Department and Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, and Information Security, including but not limited to HIPAA, FERPA and other state and federal guidelines
• Additional job-related duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time, with or without notice

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree desired
• At least 2 years of college coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level desired
• Experience competing as a NCAA Division I golf athlete desired

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Exercise independent judgment in complex, new or challenging situations
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate professionally and effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels
• Ability to teach the sport of Women’s Golf at a high level and within a university setting
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, standard methods of digital communication, and social media platforms required
• Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in interactions with student athletes, coaches, officials, trainers, all others associated with athletic programs, university faculty and staff, and the public
• Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlines
• Adaptability, flexibility and a willingness to work in a changing environment
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holiday breaks is required
• Ability to travel, including overnight stays is required
• Ability to work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people
